Pond 6 Excavation of northeast batter to gain the required volume; Rock filled mattresses at the outfall of diversion pipe; and Diversion bund at the eastern bank and erosion protection geofabric material on the eastern face. |

Scope of works included: Project management, traffic management, consultation, public utilities, demolition, road works, drainage, and asphalt surfacing, traffic signal installation and alteration, decorative electrical lighting, landscaping include advanced / ex-ground stock planting, decorative architectural finishes, concrete pavements, artwork, signage, and fabricated structures. This Project was undertaken along a fully commercialised section of busy arterial road. Some of the key issues included safe management of public through work site, maintaining access to commercial traders, high levels of coordination between various sub-contractors and public utilities, architectural details and finishes. Project was undertaken within tight budget and time-line constraints. |

Leslie Harrison Dam Wall Upgrade |

Due to a revision of Probable Maximum Flood requirement the spillway approach channel training walls of Leslie Harrison Dam needed to be raised. The existing wall from the edge of the spillway crest to the top of the approach channel batter is a reinforced concrete wall up to 9.2 metres high. This wall had to be raised by 1 metre to EL 22.35m AHD. An extension of this wall was required on the left bank for 25.2 m to meed the natural surface. The right bank wall was to be extended 128.5m and raised to EL 22.35m AHD to encompass the existing control building terminating at the left hand end of the dam embankment. This project incorporated the construction of a block work wall on a reinforced concrete footing including removal and re-installation of a steel framed storage shed. |
