Davbridge Constructions was engaged by City of Gold Coast to build the Southport Broadwater Pier. The project involved building a 200 m long concrete pier over the Broadwater. The works covered installation of the piles and 75 PSC deck units, using about 43 t of reinforcing steel, working over the water from barges. The project presented challenges such as building the full length of the pier from the water. Located on the Gold Coast Broadwater at Southport, this project demonstrated Davbridge Constructions' ability to deliver marine structures while maintaining environmental, community and safety standards.
