Since 1989
Bridges have been at the core of Davbridge Constructions since 1989. We build new and replacement road, rail and pedestrian bridges across Queensland and New South Wales for local and regional councils, state governments and private industry, including mining, renewable energy and land development clients.
Our in-house capability, along with our own specialised fleet of plant and equipment, allows us to self-perform the work from the ground up. This gives our clients a single point of accountability for program, quality and safety. It also gives Davbridge and our clients the flexibility to keep adapting to challenging site conditions as they arise, without waiting on outside resources.
Many of our bridges replace ageing timber crossings or structures lost to floods and cyclones, often in remote locations. We plan every job to keep communities connected during construction, using temporary crossings, side tracks and staged works where needed. Wherever we can, we get involved early to find the most practical and cost effective solution.

What we do
Concrete road, rail and pedestrian bridges, from single span creek crossings to multi span river bridges more than 400 m long.
Bored and driven pile foundations, cast in situ pile caps, columns, abutments and headstocks.
Deck unit and Super T girder erection with our own crawler cranes, plus transverse stressing, topping slabs, kerbs, barriers and expansion joints.
Removal of old timber and concrete bridges, and temporary diversion bridges and side tracks to keep traffic moving.
Rail bridge replacements and new rail loop bridges, planned around tight shutdowns. At Oakey we erected all seven spans in a single 36 hour rail shutdown.
Design and construct delivery with our engineering partners, including bridges on wind farm and mine access roads.
Rebuilding bridges damaged by floods and cyclones, so councils can reconnect their communities quickly.
Self sufficient crews and plant for remote sites, from Cape York to the Gulf Country and north west Queensland.
